One of my favorite writers is Henry David Thoreau. He writes about the human spirit, returning to the simple aspects of life, and enjoying nature. When living in a big city like São Paulo, his writing helps me to feel more at peace. If you are interested in reading one of his most famous books, Walden is great! It is possible for most English learners of an intermediate level to read this book.
